After completing the visual arts prerequisite in Freshman year (Art 1 Studio), students may elect to take Art 2: Sculpture 1. This course is designed to improve the sculptural skills and techniques of the young artist. Prompts are more open-ended and processes are of a more independent nature. Sculpture 2 and 3, may follow and include learning advanced skills and techniques. These courses are designed to encourage further exploration and a self-awareness and self-expression through 3-dimensional design concepts. Students will have the opportunity to work with wire, papier mache, clay, plaster, stone, wood, plaster gauze, and found objects.
